For schools
MyHommi in a classroom.
The public Chrome release and school-wide service are not available yet. This page separates the current V1 product design from the central management being planned.
How the current V1 behaves
MyHommi coaches beside ordinary homework pages open in Chrome. Coach handles photos, PDFs, files and screen snips when Screen cannot read the page.
In the current V1 build
- A Chrome extension designed for the laptops students already use
- Coaching beside ordinary web pages open in Chrome
- Coach mode for paper, PDFs and files
- Child profiles and settings stored on that laptop
- Adult controls behind a PIN on that laptop
Planned — not publicly available
- A school portal at portal.myhommi.com
- School accounts, roles and device enrolment
- A student’s setup following them between devices
- Central policies and settings for groups or year levels
- Cloud-backed management rather than per-laptop setup
What that means
MyHommi is not currently offered for school-wide deployment. The school service, data-protection roles, safeguarding fit and administration model will be completed before a public classroom launch.
Safeguarding
MyHommi will not replace any part of a school’s safeguarding policy. The safety page explains the current design and its limits.
